Amy Grover--Studio Co-Owner, Artistic Director "One of my favorite things to do as a little girl was visit my grandma's classroom where she taught school. I remember one day when I was about 3 or 4, walking through her room while all the students were busy with work and "shuushing" them to stay on task. A round of giggles from the 2nd graders followed. Being in Grandma's classroom, watching her teach and seeing the joy she brought to so many children for over 40 years was an incredible experience for me. I was bit by the teaching bug and have never been the same!
Since those days wandering in Grandma's classroom, I have always enjoyed teaching and finding new avenues to pursue that passion. From Elementary school, youth and adult church classes, and dance - I just love teaching kids! There is something so amazing about sharing knowledge and dreams with someone else and watching them light up inside - it's indescribable! My goal is to teach and nurture our dancers to become incredible young adults through the art of dance and theater. Come dance with us today and feel the difference at Jeanne's!"
Kaley Farnsworth--Studio Co-Owner, Business Manager "Ever since I was a little girl, I always wanted to have a little brother or sister to play with. But as life would have it, I ended up as the youngest child in my family. While the dream of having younger siblings to play with disappeared, a new dream emerged - teaching. As I got older my love and desire to teach children grew stronger and I knew I wanted to be an elementary school teacher. After many years of education, I finally had my own classroom and while nervous, the excitement of working with children overcame me.
During my first year of teaching 5th grade, I was blessed with the opportunity to change the life of a young man who up to that point could not read and had been stereotyped as a "behavior problem." He was the kindest boy that just needed someone to give him a chance. I am beyond grateful that he came into my life and made such a deep impression on me as a person, mother, friend and teacher. Teaching to me, is more than instruction. It's making long-lasting connections that are stepping stones along our journey through life. My love of dance combined with my love of teaching has brought me to where I am today. Jeanne's School of Dance is the perfect place to learn and experience DANCE!"

Shannon Schaffer--Competition Director, Musical Theatre, Front Desk Staff "I started dancing at Jeanne’s School of Dance—Chandler at age 3 and continued as a member of Jeanne's Power Force Dance Team until I graduated from high school. Even though I really do love all styles, tap has always been my favorite! In college at the University of Arizona, I continued to work on tap technique and took courses in the history of dance. Amy Symonds--Adult Ballet "I first started dancing in my early teens and DEFINITELY did not fall in love with it right away. I am forever grateful to my first ballet teacher, Vanessa Freeman, for showing me what a real experience dancing can be. It can feel beautiful and appear ethereal, but also it can feel like hard work and appear as sweat and a few good blisters. Today, I love to integrate dance as a celebration of ourselves, our journeys, and our accomplishments. My passion for teaching has come from always approaching my work with the mindset of a student and through my own experiences as a performer with several companies, including Youth American Ballet Company, Convergence Ballet Company, Scorpius Dance Theatre, Rogue Dance Theater, and Jordan Daniels Dance, that I have been lucky enough to call family. Now I can say that I have DEFINITELY fallen in love with dance and am so excited to share that with all of my students! Dance frees my soul. I am inspired by music, the artists that create the music, the lives of others and all that is around me. With the right lenses we can see that we are surrounded by inspiration each and every day. I am so excited to share my love of dance with my dancers at Jeanne's!"
