Today’s teens have stress triggers bombarding them all the time. It seems like every day brings a new challenge. Our teens should value competition, strive to do their best, have a sincere work ethic, be honest and appreciate loyalty. It's our job as parents to motivate them to become amazing adults without compromising their health due to the many stress factors surrounding them. So here’s a few tips to keep the peace at home and a happy healthy teen too!
Spend time together
Learn to listen
Be a role model
Get your teen moving
Keep an eye on their sleep – or lack of
Teach work/time management skills
Be their guide - Don’t try to solve all their problems
Stock up on healthy foods
And my favorite - give them a hug. We all want to be a kid and have a hug once in a while!
