Yes - one of those behinds belongs to me. Those are my fantastic siblings and I posing for a Christmas picture in our Christmas Boxers (very chic in the 80's) and Christmas socks. I am so glad there are no faces visible!
Our Mom was the best at creating and keeping traditions in our family growing up. Leprechauns always came and turned our milk and Cheerios green on St. Patrick's Day, the Easter Bunny always hid eggs, Santa has NEVER been caught - seen - or heard, and the Tooth Fairy always collected teeth and left some money on time.
Pretty much - our Mom rocks. Because at my house now, the kids freak out at green milk and the Tooth Fairy is somehow always busy and leaving IOU notes. But even with no green food on St. Patrick's Day and a delinquent Tooth Fairy, we've managed to keep a few traditions going.
One tradition I love is Christmas Jammies. (Anyone who has seen my older boys around at the studio will get a chuckle from this picture! Bradley on the left and Bryson on the right with our cute Blake in the middle. Hooray for 2007!) The kids get their new jammies as a pre-Christmas gift. We talk about how these new jammies can keep us warm just like when we help others and make good choices we have a good warm feeling inside. My hope is that those jammies - as cheesy as they sometimes might be - will remind them to be good and do good for someone else.
At Jeanne's, we hope to instill that desire in all our dancers. Develop your talents to the very best of your ability and share them with others to make someone's day brighter. If you'd like more information about our Studio Family and Classes CLICK HERE.
Here's hoping for a warm and wonderful Holiday Season for everyone!

Miss Amy: I love teaching kids and watching that "A-ha!" moment happen when all the dots connect and the light bulb goes on! There's nothing better!
