Do you ever feel like life is one balancing act and you keep teetering but have a hard time finding the middle ground? It seems like in our house balancing school, homework, sports, scouts and family time gets harder and harder every year. Even eating dinner together is challenging with kids that are in high school and some still very young.
I’ve struggled with this as my boys have gotten older. I’ve come to the conclusion that some days will just be wild and hairy and we’ll be lucky if we see each other at all. But if I look for opportunities, I can find ways to keep us in the same room for a while! Even cleaning the house, doing dishes, putting away laundry – as awful as that sounds – when we do it together, is more fun than flying solo and it gives me the chance to talk to the kids about school and “stuff.” Lol.
Balancing everything is hard. At Jeanne’s, we really appreciate you sharing your kids with us for a few hours a week! We know how precious that time is and are grateful to be part of your lives. We strive to help families maintain balance between school, dance and home because we feel it’s important in our own families too.
