It's definitely the season when are calendars seem to be exploding with events and activities! School parties, work events, music concerts, they all start stacking up in those boxes we try to organize our life with.
Anyone with a Kindergartener knows all to well the Family Homework Assignments that pop up in November and December. While I'm a firm believer in the kids fully participating in these assignments with help from Mom and Dad, I admit I went completely over the top knowing this was the last Kindergarten Turkey we would disguise before Thanksgiving. Hopefully our Bat Turkey will use his Utility Belt to escape from the farm in time!
As fun as the hustle and bustle this time of year sounds at first, it can definitely turn into Holiday Overload fast. One too many Turkeys needing disguises, treats sent up to school, extra homework projects, school concerts, work parties - it all starts becoming a chore instead of fun.
While we know our performances and activities may add to you long list of things to do, we are constantly looking for ways to make your Dance Life easier and always welcome your input!
Our Jeanne's TeamApp is designed to do just that for all those smart phone techy moms and dads! It's the perfect way to keep our dance calendar right at your fingertips! Ever since my 17 year old was tiny, we tried to instill a sense of gratitude. We tried to make sure "please" and "thank you" were always used. As our brood of boys got bigger I realized the importance a small show of gratitude and manners would be. They are boys. Big, dirty, hairy, stinky boys - and I love them all!
We've had many holes in the drywall in our home due to hotwheel car crashes, things flying that should not have been flying, doors being opened with too much muscle behind it, the list goes on. These kinds of things I could see were going to be unavoidable. What I could attempt to conquer was a sense of gratitude.
Now, they are not perfect by any stretch - believe me! And like a lot of kids today that sense of entitlement and "I want it now because so-and-so has it" seems to rear its ugly head. However, they almost always open the door for me and offer to help in various ways. They are always quick to say "Thank You" when Grandma & Grandpa surprise them with Krispy Kreme Doughnuts - just because. My favorite 3 words are "Thank you, Mom" because inside that Thank You is a whole lot of LOVE.
Have a fantastic Thanksgiving Weekend with your family and friends and THANK YOU for allowing us to be part of your life!

You just never know what kids are going to say. I had the best time asking a few of our dancers what they are grateful for and the responses were priceless! Click the video below to see what they had to say. Love these girls for spreading so much joy, cheer and gratitude!!!

My family is a pretty tight group.
There’s 5 siblings in my family. Me, my fab sister Kaley and 3 totally insane and more fun than anything – brothers. We didn’t always love being together growing up but we love hanging out with each other, our siblings-in-laws and all 20 nieces and nephews now!
Family is everything to us. They are our cheerleaders, last minute taxi drivers, babysitters, care takers, support network, technical troubleshooters and much more. We love our family!
Jeanne’s is family too. In fact, Jeanne Wright (the original owner) is our Great Aunt! So every time you hear us say “We’re all Family” we really mean it! The dance studio has been part of our family since 1958!
It’s this family aspect of it that sets it apart from every other studio out there. It’s the original family business. Jeanne ran her dance studio while next door her husband Jack ran Wright’s Market, a family owned grocery store.
We value that family feel from yester-year. That’s why keeping a Wholesome Family Environment is one of our 5 studio values. We want everyone who walks through the door to feel inspired and be healthy and sound.
What’s your favorite Family Memory here at Jeanne’s?

Miss Amy: I love teaching kids and watching that "A-ha!" moment happen when all the dots connect and the light bulb goes on! There's nothing better!
