Although giant chocolate muffins from CostoCo may satisfy your taste buds, I'm really talking about food for the soul. (But I might have to run to CostCo after I post this!)
One of the best ways to teach something is to use stories - especially for young kids. In trying to emphasize the importance of teamwork and #connection with our kids, I found a list of some fabulous children's books that teach teamwork. Here are my favorites:

Why is #connection important? Why even talk about it? Can't we just go about our day and get our stuff done?
I'm finding in our home, #connection gets lost - easily. With faces staring down at 4 inch screens no one looks up to notice who and what is going on around them. You've probably had friends take a break from Facebook for similar reasons. What message does it send when we spend more time with the device in our hand instead of the face in front of us? I am totally guilty of that. #MomFail
Fortunately, that's what every new day is for; To try harder to be better. It's not easy. But the little (and not so little) faces in my life are definitely worth it! So how does building connections with people really benefit us? Well, there's lots of ways but here are a few:
At Jeanne's, we hope to inspire instances of #connection in our dancers. We love to watch those seeds of trust, love and support bloom into fully grown beautiful people who caring people who inspire others through teamwork and #connection.
Who are you connecting with today?

In our busy day to day schedules the benefit that comes from being with people who love and support you often gets over looked. We get so buried in the hustle we forget all the faces that make our lives brighter every day. In our family we are trying to emphasize this as our boys are getting older. I want them to know they can lean on each other as well as their parents for love and support.
I love finding new ideas that inspire #connection and teamwork. Any activity that helps build a better sense of unity, connection and closeness for my family gets a gold star and this one definitely does! Click HERE to check it out! I can't wait to play this game at home with my kids. And don't be surprised if this activity shows up at a Jeanne's School of Dance Workshop or party. Our dance family is second only to the one we share a roof with. We love to see the smiles, friendships, #connection and teamwork grow all around us everyday through the fabulous dancers we get to share our week with.
Happy Teamwork Challenge Everyone!

Miss Amy: I love teaching kids and watching that "A-ha!" moment happen when all the dots connect and the light bulb goes on! There's nothing better!
